The Queen Mother’s Foundation of Ghana has constructed and completely equipped a healthcare facility for Accra High School, which is located in the heart of Ghana’s city.

With a student body of nearly 2,400, the school formerly relied on a dilapidated temporary healthcare facility. The new centre offers much-needed relief to the school community.

The facility is well stocked with critical health products such as medications, hand sanitizers, waterproof foam tapes, antibacterial wet wipes, athletic tapes, bandages, pain and itch relief lotions, sanitary pads, and dental supplies.

In addition, the Queen Mother’s Foundation contributed stationery, furniture, and student mattresses to the school.

During the giving event, the foundation’s president, Queen Mother Nana Ama Seiwaa Bonsu, a school alumna, expressed her gratitude. She emphasized that her current success stemmed from the education and chances she acquired at school.

“I felt it was time that the Queen Mother’s Foundation Ghana also gave back to our alma mater,” she told me.

She also promised that the foundation would continue its philanthropic efforts at other institutions across the country.

Madam Evelyn Sagbil Nabia, headmistress of Accra High School, expressed her gratitude for the foundation’s assistance.

“We are grateful for your continuous annual donations, which have had a positive impact on teaching and learning,” stated the woman.
